Summer 2025 Participant Guide

We are excited about the prospect of you joining us this year! As a Stanford Middle School Scholar, you will develop the skills needed to apply to and succeed at Stanford Online High School (OHS), a private online school for grades 7–12, as well as other academically rigorous schools and programs.

Preparing for Stanford Middle School Scholars Program (SMSSP)

The following information will help you prepare for your summer and fall semester as a Stanford Middle School Scholar. Please review the information carefully.

Enrollment Steps
There are a number of steps you need to complete to enroll in the program. See the Program Details below for instructions.
Technology Requirements
SMSSP is 100% online. To participate, you will need a laptop or desktop computer, a webcam, headphones, a microphone, and an internet connection. Students can request technical equipment through the Device Lending Program (see Enrollment Agreement).
Program Information
As the start of your program approaches, students will receive emails from our team with important details about the program schedule, technology platforms, and tips for preparing for the first day. Be sure to read this information carefully.

Program Details

Scholars attend a three-week online summer course and weekly online after-school meetings during the fall. Both the summer and fall components of the program are required for all scholars.
